Mana Khemia

For some reason I am attracted to games that portray alchemy in a good light. Of course, most games, anime and shows make alchemy out to be some con-artists way of making it rich. Although that IS what it was used for back in the day. But something about making useful items out of useless things catches my interest. Of course, that Could be because I create many crafts out of trash...

But the gameplay is fun! And as you may have already guessed, there is a hot guy in it. Flay Gunnar. Anyways, the gameplay is fun, you get to fight many monsters and it actaully has puzzles and a storyline and I adore it!

I am about half-way through the game. I would personally give it a 7/10! Although it is not as good as Atelier iris.

List of 10 Anime I Like

I know, another list of anime that someone is suggesting! Well, I am making it anyways! so :-p

I am a huge anime fan! Well, I need to watch it more. But I wanted to add a list of good anime's that I watch in case someone comes by looking for a anime to watch. My anime list includes a ton of different types of anime so...

1. One Piece. A very good anime about pirates and powers that come from fruit. I am right now waiting for new episodes to come out, I am on episode 500 something! XD

2. Shugo Chara. I know, total "Chick Flick", But I really like it for the message it gives to be yourself and follow your dreams... It also helps that there is a hot neko guy in skin tight leather pants and a few other hot guys and a lot of romance...

3. Fairy Tale. There is more to it than the hot, shirtless guys and large breasted, skimpy dressed females magic. The entire storyline is very good, and it actually is very similar to one piece in many ways too. Just without the pirate ships and devil fruit.

4. Detective Conan. For those who like mystery, death, and impossible love. And to know how crime solving is in the eyes of a 16 year old who turned into a 7 year old child... Hattori Heiji is in it too ♥

5. Katekyō Hitman Reborn!. Hot Guys with magical powers trying to stop people from taking over the world... what good times.

6. Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles. Hot Guys traveling together to different worlds and dimensions in order to obtain feathers to save the princess from dying without her memories. Great storyline, but hard to pay attention to it when Syaoran comes on screen...

7. Ouran High School Host Club. Do I even need to tell you why I adore this anime?

8. Deltora Quest. If you like The Legend of Zelda, you will ADORE this anime... I mean, who would not like going to 7 places on a map in order to obtain 7 jewels which are required to beat the evil boss who has taken over the world and use the jewels to free the people of Delora?

9.GoSick. For those who like anime about mysteries and little girls with a "wellspring of knowledge".

10. Baka and Test. For the person who loves funny!

I hope this list was helpful!

Shugo Chara Review

I LOVE shugo chara! and no... its not because there are two cute guys in it! (Kukai and Ikuto) Although the eye-candy makes the anime much more watchable. I like it much more due to it's message, to follow your dreams and to be yourself. Always aspire and do something you are passionate about, but if you are too hard on yourself, you'll never be able to do anything.

Shugo chara starts off with a girl named Amu, who is perceived as "cool and spicy", even though no one is America would be caught dead calling someone spicy... but she does not feel that way, and would like to be her own person. But if she does, her classmates might be upset as she will change the status quo. And here comes the eggs, she gets three guardian characters (shugo chara) to help her reach her potential. Amu's abilities increase when she "character changes", but that is just her potential, she still has to learn her skills outside of the chararter changes.

She meets up with other people who have guardian characters and has to ward off the X-egg's, which is what becomes of the eggs in peoples heart when they are depressed. She also has to prevent the bad guys from achieving the embryo, which is a egg that will grant you a wish.

A lot goes on in this anime and the only way to truly know what goes on is to watch the anime. The best place to watch it is on Crunchyroll. its a great anime and it helps to get me motivated!

Sly cooper evolution

Sly_Cooper_by_dreams_of_absolution On DeviantArt.com

I played the first one on a demo, and then I beat the second one, went back and beat the first one, and learned something... The difference between the first and second one is ASTOUNDING! In the first one:

1. you collect coins to get lives and lucky charms (not the cereal),
2. It was uber simple (what's the definition of the word Uber?),
3. you had arcade-like mini-games, like racing, etc.
4. It was straight forward, getting keys and defeating the levels, as well as treasure faults.

In the second one:

1. You can play as sly, murray, or bentley
2. it is more complex
3. storyline not as strightforward
4. You can steal from badguys
5. no treasure faults
6. life bar instead of lucky charms
7. You BUY the upgrades

And a whole lot more as well! Its as if the first and second ones are two completely different games! The third one is not much different than the second one, besides the fact that you have more characters.

The second one does not really have a storyline, The whole purpose is going around trying to find the missing clockwork parts that were stolen. Outside of that, the storyline is practically nothing, The story gets mre interesting in the third one. You will be confused as hell trying to figure out what is going on and what is going to happen to sly. That darn scene they show in the beginning of the game. And the operation was going so well too...

Well, play it, you will find out what I am talking about soon enough.

Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus Review...

I know, this one is a liitle bit LATE!!! But I am going to write a review about it anyways... I got to tell you all, that I have NOT beaten this entire game yet... I gave gotten to the Dog Track and am stuck...

Story: 10/10
I love the storyline. You are supposed to inherit a book of secret thief skills as a kid, but it is taken away before you are able to. So you become a thief who only steals from criminals and tries to reclaim his family heirloom book... Which is a very original storyline.

Gameplay: 10/10
You play as a thief raccoon, what more can I say? I LOVE it! But besides that, the game-play is pretty good, and the battles are short and sweet. I love sneaking around and breaking things!

Sound: 7/10
I really do not pay much attention to the sound, The battle music is great, and it really get you going for a fight. It does not last forever like a Pokemon game.

Mini-games: 2/10
I have beaten the second one before playing this one, and the mini games there were not nearly impossible to beat. The Dog Track is one of the main reasons for this. I bought this game for the sneaking around and stealing things, NOT to play a racing game, if I wanted a racing game, I would play Mario Kart Wii.

Controls: 9/10
They are very simple, perhaps too simple. there are no special combination of buttons to push for a secret move. Its always triangle for the techniques. As good as simple is, mix it up a bit!

Difficulty: 5/10
It is not a hard game at all until you get to the mini-games. Than its hard as hell! But outside of mini-games, It is very fun and easy to play.

Overall: 7/10

I would recommend this game to anyone, just be aware that the mini-games might get you to cry in frustration...

EDIT: 7/29/11

I have beat the game now, it is still the same. I do suggest that they have a way to skip the cutscenes and talk-scenes, because when you lose to a boss and have to start over, you have to listen to it all over again...

There is another racing part later on, you here comes the tears again...

I will still recoomend this game, you should really see the Japanese ending... well... japanese beginning...

Timeless classics...

 Picture from Wikimedia

Some games will just never get old in my eyes... you know, the games you played as a kid... over... and over again?

Here is a list of someone of MY timeless classics and why!

1. Zelda: A Link to the Past. I played this game as a kid, and it actually helped teach me to read. I know its 2D pixelated graphics are no match for your Halo's graphics, but for me, it takes the cake! I mean, its fun as hell!

2. Sly Cooper. Now who can resist the urge to pilfer peoples pockets? Or is that just my fantasy of being a thief? Best part of all, you do all of this as a FURRY! and RACCOON furry to be exact! My fave! Human characters are sooooo 5 minutes ago!

3. Final fantasy X. This only one of them that I was fully hooked on. Not saying that the others weren't good, but this and 12 were the best! Going around beating up poor defenseless beings that are just waking around trying to kill you... they drop money, so that's a plus! I grew up playing the 4th one for the PS1, you know, ancient technology...

4. Atelier Iris. Alchemy and magic, mixed with a final-fantasy like RPG format. What could be better? You get to make your potions so you save money too. You also have a girl with wings on your party...

5. Breath of fire. And who can forget this classic? Mostly the third one, which had me addicted since I was a wee lass. You turn into a dragon!!! AND you have a princess with wings on your party, who can ask for more? Best of all, The sequels have at least the two main characters, Nina and Ryu... unlike Final Fantasy who changes their characters with every new game.

6. Pokemon. Who can resist catching em all? I mean, this whole games purpose is to enforce animal fighting, and level up your pokemon and fight some more. But it is so ADDICTING!!!

I watched Kiki-s Delivery Service! (review)

I have not watched that movie in such a long time. I was finally about to watch it again tonight. I love that movie so much, that it actually help define me as a person. the last time I watched it was when I was 9 or 10, and I watched it before when I was much younger, you know, back when they actually showed good cartoons on channels such as Cartoon Network and Disney?

I loved this show before because it had a witch who tried to find herself in the world, and started her own business. I love it even more now because it has a artist with really good advice (find your motivation), and I am both a artist and someone who owns a small internet business selling crafts. The wise-cracking cat helps it all out alot. I can really fit in the shoes of Kiki, I mean, I could before, but I can more so now.

I can especially agree with the part about doing something you love, but losing interest in it once you do it for a living. I used to crochet things just to crochet things, or even draw things just to draw them, and they always turn out ugly, especially when I would crochet things and knit things just to put them in my online shop. But you have to find your motivation, WHY am I crocheting? WHY am I making art? and after awhile you find an answer. I noticed that I am more motivated to crochet or sew if I am doing so for the benefit of the environment, not just to gain money. I crochet with plarn and craft with other non-recyclable materials because then I can prevent what could easily replace conventional items such as yarn and fabric from being tossed in the trash. Plus it looks nice!

See, even an old cartoon movie such as that one can change or develop someones line of thinking. I do not think any of what I am doing now with crafting and selling would be happening if I did not watch Kiki's Delivery Service, or even read Harry Potter, the book that informed me of the art of knitting, and started this whole thing.

What inspires you?

Robot Unicorn Attack!

Best game EVER!!! well, you play as a unicorn, attacking obstacles in the shape of stars... you also have to collect fairies, oh, and did i forget to mention that if you hit a wall, or a star, you BLOW UP? This game is also hard as anything! the more points you get, the faster the game gets. the faster the game gets, the harder it is to stay alive. That is the goal of this game, it is similar to Tetris, just better! my high score is over 35,000 points.

And for all you "Manly Men" who cannot stand being seen playing unicorns and rainbows, there is a alternative.

Heavy Metal Version! I have played it... and it is actually the wimpy version... The original purple and rainbows is MUCH harder in my opinion. but now you can choose if you like the harder, more feminine version, or the easier, more masculine version...

I wish you all luck... because thats what you need to get a high score on this game!

And we end this whole blog post with a drawing, by me:
